Main job responsibilities:
Contribute to the formulation and continuous improvement of the company’s overall strategic management process, including planning cycles, performance tracking and alignment mechanisms across the organization;
Support the development of SOCAR’s Corporate Strategy by providing economic insights (through gap analysis, assessment of internal and external factors, industry trends and benchmarking), defining long-term KPIs, evaluating and prioritizing strategic projects;
Play a key role in the execution of the Corporate Strategy by participation in cascading it into actionable components, development of tailored KPIs and frameworks and preparation of Segment and Business Unit specific mid-term strategies;
Monitor global and regional trends and industry dynamics to guide strategic decisions;
Develop and maintain economic forecasts and scenarios by examining financial and operational performance, drivers and benchmarks to support long-term strategic financial planning;
Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of strategic insights across the entire value chain;
Lead and contribute to value creation initiatives across the organization by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, profitability and sustainable competitive advantage.
Job requirements:
Higher education (bachelor’s or master’s degree) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance;
At least 3 years of related experience (preferably in oil and gas industry) in strategy, asset management, private equity, investment, financial advisory consulting;
Knowledge of oil and gas value chain;
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of strategic management;
Knowledge of fundamental principles of finance, risk, accounting, and financial modelling; Advanced analytical and quantitative skills;
Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;
Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects and making critical decisions;
Effective collaboration and presentation skills;
Fluency in Azerbaijani, English;
ACCA, CFA, FMVA or related certifications or actively working towards obtaining these credentials, is considered a valuable privilege.
